*PDS51 pin problem
I can''t move pin P2.4 from its state.
At start time it''s set to high level (1) and I can see it in PDS51 v3.44 watch pane.
But then I can''t change its value to 0, neither by code nor by PDS51 watch pane (double click on watched variable).
If I apply an external voltage to the pin (0V or 5V) I can read it by the PDS51 watch pane.

I supposo it could be an internal emulator error.

Specs:
Philips PDS51 m.b. with PDB51Rx2 d.b.
Emulated device: Philiph 8xC52

Hi Stefano,

Sounds like the output driver has been damaged, but the input is OK.

The P2.4 function is created by the mother board device M510 which we have in stock.

You can order this part online by clicking on the Bondout/Spares link in the left margin.

If you wish to discuss this further then it is probably easiest to email me directly at support@acqura.com.

Best regards,
Gaham

*RE: PDS51 pin problem
Today even the low part of port P1 has gone!
I can''t move P1.0 - P1.3 to logical low state.

I hope the P1 output function is generated by M501 chip, as it is for P2.4 pin.

Thanks.

PS: I will order this part on this site, but if I need further repair on my emulator?
Is there someone in Italy where I can take it?

*RE: PDS51 pin problem
Hi Stefano,

As indicated in the document I sent you, P1 and P3 are produced by the bondout, while P0 and P2 are regenerated by the ''M'' chips.

Therefore, you will also need to order a bondout (you may need ot order as a Standard Chip if not listted).

Do you know what happened to damage these additional pins? Are you probing the bondout device itself?

Regards,
Graham

*RE: PDS51 pin problem
There I have to order:
1) M501 chip
2) 89C51Rx2 Bondout

I don''t know what happened to the emulator, I''ve never tried to probe the device, always used trace outputs.

PS: where do you sent me that document?
Please use grg_meda at virgilio.it if you had sent it by email, as I''ve got some troubles whit the registered address.

Regards,
Stefano

Hi Stefano,
I have sent (another) copy to the email address you have provided. It is different to the previous address and please let me know if it goes astray.

Have a read of the document as it will allow you to test your emulator. The missing email also provided additional information about the port regeneration but this is covered in the document I just email to you.

Regards,
Graham

*RE: PDS51 pin problem
I''ve received the M510-1 and the PDB51Rx2 bondout: now the emulatore works fine.

Thanks very much.

Hi Stefano,

Pleased to hear that the chips have repaired your emulator.
