*IIC Pull-up Resistor value
I am using the LPC932 with 10K pull-ups on the SDA & SCL pins... The rising edge of the SCL pin takes about6uS to get all the way up !!! thus 100Kbps IIC comms is a bit marginal !!

I only have a PCF8976 LCD driver on the bus

Where does the data sheet recomment a pull-up value ??? is only refers to Rp !!

*RE: IIC Pull-up Resistor value
Try using 2K2 pullup resistors. The value depends on the capacitance on the bus, I have used 2K2 for years without any problems even when the bus has 32 devices on it and 2 meters of cable.
