In fact, just having prices on your website at all is a novelty - most other manufacturers require you to email them for pricing, which makes it hard to compare.

I am very happy with this emulator (PDS900) as it has full trace and uses a real bondout. It costs only 500 Euro but is a full-featured tool.
Good tools are R&D guys best friends. They are healthy for the nerves.

When combined with a grep tool, the trace buffer in the PDS900 is a valuable tool for locating troublesome portions of code. Once I started utilizing the trace buffer, I was able to isolate my error in a short amount of time. Then, I used the external triggers found in the PDS900 and an o-scope to confirm my suspicions - problem solved!

From a long term PDS51 user - I have had pretty good luck using the emulator on an assortment of different 8051 and 8052 projects. It certainly has paid for itself in helping me find bugs and test code/hardware operation over the years. I will take a look at the newer version (PDS51E) as it may soon be time to upgrade.
