| Ground differential |

When using an external interface to a pcb, you have 2 power supplies involved. One power supply is the PDS900 supply and the other is your supply for your board in development. My question is this:
In order or preserve the PDS900's operation, there should be no differences in the grounds of each board. Is it safe to connect the ground pin on the PDS900 (lower left hand corner to the ground of the development PCB to keep the voltage differentials negligible?

The P76xSO20 is a SOT163-1 (SO20) package adaptor for use with the P76XLCP device programmer for the Philips P87LPC76x and P87LPC77x microcontroller families.
It plugs into the DIP20 ZIF programming socket on the P76xLCP programmer and allows devices in the SO20 surface-mount package to be programmed.
