| Can't emulate P89C51RD2HBA with PDB51Rx2 because of timers |
|
Hi everyone,
we recently purchased a PDB51Rx2 daughterboard for emulating a P89C51RDHBA device. PDS51 emulator is at version 3.44.
With the previous daughterboard which doesn't support 8xC51RD2 device, we used to maintain two distinct timers files: one for emulating a RD+ device, the other for the real RD2 device. The differences between the files are just timer values, e.g.:
InitTmrRD+.s03:
InitTimer: mov CmpT01,#48h
mov CmpT02,#0d0h
mov CmpT03,#02h
mov CmpT04,#20h
mov CmpT05,#1ch
InitTmrRD2.s03:
InitTimer: mov CmpT01,#24h
mov CmpT02,#68h
mov CmpT03,#01h
mov CmpT04,#10h
mov CmpT05,#0eh
As you may have noticed, timer values in RD+ are twice as much as in RD2 file.
This trick still works with the new PDB51Rx2 emulator by setting:
Device : 8xC51RD
CPU Clock: 12-Clock
The problem is that using file InitTmrRD2.s03 (that made for real device) the emulator behaves awkwardly, like it keeps resetting after few milliseconds from start-up. Note that watch-dog code is commented out. PDS51 settings are:
Device : 8xC51RD2
CPU Clock: 6-Clock
Thanks in advance for your help.

TSSOP16 Package Adaptor for P76xLCP Programmer |
|
|
|
|
The P76TSSOP16 is a SOT403-1 (TSSOP16) package adaptor for use with the P76XLCP device programmer for the Philips P87LPC76x and P87LPC77x microcontroller families.
It plugs into the DIP20 ZIF programming socket on the P76xLCP programmer and allows devices in the TSSOP16 surface-mount package to be programmed.
