It provides conversion to the DIP20 through-hole-mount package footprint available for Philips P89LPC92x family of microcontrollers. This adaptor connects directly to the 30-way flat ribbon cable supplied with the PDS900 emulator and is supplied with a replaceable sacrificial machined-pin DIP20 socket to help protect the adaptor from possible damage during use.
