| Trick for decrementing and stopping at zero |

I remember seeing an example of this once but I can't for the life of me remember how it was done. I know it doesn't use jumps.
(I have a byte counter and I want to count it down under interrupt and detect when it is zero, but I don't want it to wrap and go negative).

|
The FPA900-906-7-8 is an optional emulation footprint adaptor for use with the PDS900 emulator for the Philips P89LPC900 family of microcontrollers.
It provides conversion to the SO8 surface-mount or DIP8 through-hole-mount package footprints available for Philips P89LPC906, P89LPC907, and P89LPC908 microcontrollers.
This adaptor plugs into the emulator and jumpers can be set to configure the adaptor for the different pinout variants of these three devices. Connection to the target is via the supplied 8-way flat ribbon cable terminated in a standard DIP8 plug fitted with a replaceable sacrificial machined-pin DIP8 socket to help protect the adaptor from possible damage during use.
A DIP8 to SO8 converter is also supplied (together with two SO8 solder-downs) to then allow emulation of devices in the SO8 surface-mount package. Additional SO8 solder-downs can be ordered in packs of five (as FPA900-SO8) if required.
Note: The similar FPA900-901-2-3 emulation footprint adaptor is also available to support development with the P89LPC901, P89LPC902, and P89LPC903 devices having pinouts compatible with 8-pin microcontrollers from other vendors.
